Timezone Quiz

Five questions a day, generated from the same 200-city dataset behind every page here. Guess UTC offsets, spot which city wakes first, and work out how far apart they are.

Question 1 of 5
Round 2026-10-25

What is the current UTC offset of Baghdad?

Sun, Oct 25, 2026 · 12:00 UTC — read from live IANA timezone rules, so it reflects any active daylight saving.

At the round's instant, for reference

Offsets are read live from IANA timezone rules atSun, Oct 25 · 12:00 UTC — no cached guesses, so a city mid-DST change is never answered wrong. This is the exact instant every question above is anchored to:

London
UTC+0
12:00 local
New York
UTC-4
08:00 local
Tokyo
UTC+9
21:00 local
Delhi
UTC+5:30
17:30 local

How scoring works

All five questions are generated on the server from the city dataset and a fixed instant, so they are never guesswork. Scoring happens entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to any server, and no account is involved. When you finish, a share line with your score is copied straight to your clipboard.

Rounds are deterministic per UTC calendar date: everyone sees the same five questions on the same day, and the round renews at UTC midnight.

Honest schema decision

Answers only become visible content after you finish the quiz. Google's Quiz markup expects answers to be visible up front, and our Visible Content Parity rule says we never emit schema that implies content the page doesn't visibly show. So this page ships standard Organization, SoftwareApplication and BreadcrumbList structured data — and deliberately no Quiz or QAPage markup. The correct answers sit in the page's hidden scoring data until you finish; the schema reflects only what is actually visible.

No ads, no account, no tracking beyond the site's standard analytics — and the first question renders even with JavaScript disabled.
